This story is not so short, and not so easy I think, but it is very interesting. Dorothy, and her friends are not super heroes, they have their own problems that they can’t solve themselves. However, they help each other and finally they can solve their problems. I think such story is very important for people who have many problems and very worry about it.

Rate: ★★★☆☆
I think this book is difficult, I can’t understand many about stocks. Stocks are, I know, the most important thing for financial system and I read the book about financial system. However, though I think this book tell me many thing, they are too deep for me to understand what this book wants getting at. If I have a chance to read this book again I will try understanding this book.

Global Warming History, Science and Politics
Title: Global Warming History, Science and Politics
Author: Masahiro Ishii
Publisher: IBC PUBLISHING
Level: 6.5
Summary:
“Global Warming” means that the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans is increasing and the earth has been getting warmer for the last 20 years. In this book, it starts with the explanation from science side. Greenhouse Effect is, scientists believe, the one of the main reasons of why does global warming occur. Global warming leads to a rise in sea level, and a wide range of influences on plants, wildlife, and human beings. To find a solution to this problem, scientists and politicians and citizens cooperated to urge their governments to respond to this crisis and make one important treaty: Kyoto Protocol.
Rate: ★★★☆☆
I am interested in this problem. Global warming is one of the most famous environmental problems today. To solve this problem, not only my generation but next generations have to treat this, I think.
I want to know more about this, but there is nothing but the things I know being written. So I evaluated this book three star.

The Japanese Financial System
Title: The Japanese Financial System
Author: Maki Fujimaru
Publisher: IBC PUBLISHING
Level: 5.2
Summary:
After World War Ⅱ, Japan reaches the period of high economic growth. This book shows us the present Japanese financial system.
This book has four chapters. The first one is the structure of Japanese financial system. Financial structure is changing every day, every time, and without exception, the structure of Japanese financial system is also changing. Because of Japan’s aging society, the saving rate is declining. The influences of that are serious. The most of them is that making it more difficult for corporations and the government to raise fund. Moreover, there are many invisible influences.
In addition to these, in this book, the Japanese financial system is explained very much and deeply, but simply.
Rate: ★★★★☆
Actually, this book is difficult for me. I don’t know very much about Financial system, so for understanding this book, I should have some. However, I give this book 4 star. The reason is that this book is so kind to read. There are lists of some words which are useful to read, and the meaning of them. If there were such lists, I couldn’t read it.

Aesop’s Fables
Title: Aesop’s Fables
Author: David Olivier
Publisher: IBC PUBLISHING
Level: 3.1
Summary:
This book has many short stories. You can learn a lesson from each of them. “The story of the Bat” and “The Boy Who cried Wolf” give us a lesson: not tell a lie or you will lose confidence. “The Ant and the Grasshopper” teaches that the most important thing is that save in the good times for the bad times to come. Each of the lessons is very instructive and has humor, but is not difficult.
Rate: ★★★★☆
“Aesop’s Fables” is the very book which children should read, I think. The books like this we can see at any book stores, but all of them don’t reach it. So I think this book is also a text for dreaming of a writer of fairy tales.
I was surprised at one thing. The writer of this is Aesop, and he is a person who lived ancient Greece! So the story also lives over 2000 years! Good book lived long, and is read forever, I think.

Not only Japan but also any other countries have their original history. This book shows Japanese history very shortly and simply. In this book, there are seven chapters. Japanese history has some periods, and each of them has distinctive characteristic. Say Kamakura Period for example, there were many bushies, or professional warriors, and the Genji and Heike clans fought each other for control of the country. It is called “Gempei war.” At first, Heike won some battle and took control, but after the leader, Heike no Kiyomori, dead, it is defeated by the Genji clan. Rate: ★★★★★
This book is very fan for me. I am Japanese and, of course, I have studied Japanese history. However, if you asked me to explain it in English, I couldn’t. This book tells us important things about Japanese history, but the explanation is not difficult and very short. So after reading this book, I think I may become able to explain Japanese history in English a little.

However, I like this story, because the story tells us the importance of friendship and believe your friends.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Title: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Author: Lewis Carroll
Publisher: IBC PUBLISHING
Level: 2
Summary:
Alice’s adventures started with the white rabbit. The white rabbit is guide and very important character in this book. Alice pursued the white rabbit with interest and entered the wonderland. In wonderland Alice met many wonderful characters. Drink me bottle made her little. Caterpillar smoked very much. The Hatter and The March Hare held strange party. The Queen of Hearts was very angry and likely to kill her. Then Alice realized this was not a real. So readers finally knew their wonder was Alice’s dream.
Rate: ★★★★★
While I read this book, I felt strange as if I was in the wonderland too. I think this book is philosophical and educational. Although this book is very strange, the fantastic story makes children much more imaginative. I have read this book before, but the book was written in Japanese. And I have watched the movie, which made by Walt Disney. So I knew the story, but reading this book in English was also fan for me, because I realized the different aspects of this book’s interests.

Winnie-the-Pooh
Title: Winnie-the-Pooh
Author: A.A. MILNE
Publisher: PUFFIN
Level: 5
Summary:
Winnie-the-Pooh is a main character, but he is not a real animal bear. He is a stuffed animal of Christopher Robin. In this book, though Pooh is a stuffed animal, he can walk, he can talk, and he can think.
Pooh has a many friends. Some of them are stuffed animals like Pooh, but some of them are real animals or a human. So he sometimes help them, and sometimes he is helped by them. He is so brave to go to where is very danger for helping his friends and taking honey, which Pooh likes very much. This is mainly point in this book.
Rating: ★★★★★
I thought this book was too long to finish reading in one week, but the story is very understandable and very fan. So I can read this book in one week.
Pooh and his friends are not a hero, but they think very much to solve their problems. This is very important thing for not only children but Japanese adults, because I heard that Japanese adults today are so languid that they don’t want to think very much. So I think, if you are not a child, reading this book is meaningful.
